The Sr. Manager, Marketing Communications will be responsible for planning, developing and implementing global branding and communications initiatives for the company, including integrated strategic and tactical marketing, promotional and public relations campaigns, tradeshows/events, digital media/web development and other communications programs to support global revenue growth. Develops and ensures consistent positioning and messaging throughout all communications programs spanning multiple products and geographies. Leads relationships with external agencies and other vendors to define and execute MarComm campaigns. Leads a team of global MarComm professionals and partners with Product Marketing, Sales management, International commercial leadership and key stake holders to achieve commercial revenue and market share objectives. Key member of the commercial management team, working directly with senior management on corporate communications initiatives.


  • Lead team of global MarComm professionals (both direct reports and matrix) providing strategic guidance, mentoring, and tactical implementation support
  • Develop, and execute strategic communication campaigns aligned with global segment marketing plans
  • Create customer-facing messaging, materials and content, and adapt to traditional and digital platforms globally
  • Identify and evangelize effective regional campaigns driving broader global adoption of winning strategies and programs
  • Lead brand identity/brand architecture strategy and implementation activities including new products and corporate acquisition brand integration
  • Track key performance metrics for marketing campaigns, message creation, story development, demand generation, brand awareness, and loyalty programs and utilize data/analytics to refine programs for maximum return on investment
  • Support the development of strategy and execution of public relations programming, content development and media buying across a wide range of channels (social, print, digital and industry events)
  • Develop, implement and manage the Oxford Immunotec, Oxford Diagnostic Laboratories, Imugen, and product level brands ensuring global consistency
  • Develop and execute the planning and execution of global industry meeting and events optimizing the company’s brand presence and lead generation
  • Support new product launches globally by partnering with Product Marketing, Sales management, and International to ensure positioning, messaging, and collateral materials quality and consistency
  • Responsible for the management, content and branding of all Oxford Immunotec, Oxford Diagnostic Laboratories and Imugen corporate and product Web sites
  • Responsible for all corporate and investor related marketing materials development
  • Develop, implement and manage the promotional materials review process for all public facing materials including regulatory, clinical and legal approval
  • Responsible for advertising in all marketing channels
  • Responsible for all social media editorial planning and execution
  • Oversee the lead management process including marketing automation and salesforce.com
  • Develop and execute programs for internal company events


  • BA, BS, BSc (or equivalent), preferably in business, marketing or life sciences; MBA desired
  • 6-8 years of experience in marketing communications, branding, integrated campaign development and digital content/campaign development
  • Excellent marketing communications writing skills required
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, and/or medical diagnostics preferred
  • Communications expertise with emphasis on digital content development
  • Experience managing communication projects, vendors/contractors
  • Track record of delivering measurable, successful multi-channel global campaigns
  • Experience facilitating global teams in person and remotely preferred
  • Strong verbal and written analytical/problem solving skills; effective communication, negotiation, interpersonal and presentation skills are essential
  • Comprehensive computer skills and marketing platform skills required
  • Ability to travel 20% of time including international
