Provide paralegal support with a focus on compliance and contracting activities to corporate Legal Department of publicly traded, commercial stage, global diagnostics company.



  • Draft contracts using Legal Department templates, including, but not limited to, confidentiality, consulting and clinical study agreements
  • Assist counsel in updating and maintaining contract templates, including revisions required to ensure compliance with applicable privacy regulations based on guidance provided by counsel
  • Review contract redlines based on guidance provided by counsel to prioritize issues for legal review
  • Proofread and prepare execution copies of approved contracts
  • Administer the Company’s contract management procedure, including, but not limited to, processing requests and managing the Company’s electronic contract database
  • Assist Compliance, Legal and Internal Audit functions in assembling and organizing information needed to audit compliance with Compliance Program policies and procedures
  • Assist Compliance and Legal in conducting diligence and taking other actions as required to ensure compliance with the Company's anti-corruption policies and procedures
  • Act as point of contact for other Company departments for routine contract matters
  • Organize and maintain Legal Department files
  • Perform routine administrative duties for members of the Legal Department including, but not limited to, mailings, photocopying/scanning and proofreading
  • Perform additional paralegal and administrative duties as requested by other Legal Department personnel
  • Regular in-office attendance and timeliness is essential



  • Associates Degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent experience as Paralegal
  • 3+ years experience in an in-house legal or compliance department, preferably in a public company
  • Must have the ability to analyze and interpret information in order to support contract review and negotiations
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Capable of learning to use and administer specialized database management programs
  • Superior organization and recordkeeping skills
  • Uncompromised attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Willing to engage with internal and external contacts to follow through on assignments and projects in a professional and respectful manner
  • Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete under time constraints
  • Must possess good judgment and be both practical and creative in solving problems
