    This newly created position will be responsible for the development and execution of the company’s data services strategy across all products. Data services have the potential to become a key differentiator for Oxford Immunotec and transform diagnostics. The company’s large TB and tick-borne disease diagnostic test database, combined with public and customer data, can be leveraged to provide unique insights to customers and improve the value of our tests, resulting in accelerated sales cycles, increased customer loyalty and enhanced margins.


    The Strategic Marketing Manager will be responsible for identifying new applications that leverage internal and external data, define and implement processes to acquire such data and incorporate them into our test offerings. He/she will develop and execute data services products and initiatives targeting customers, public health officials, industry associations, and patient advocacy groups. This position will also include responsibility for electronic order interfaces and Oxford’s web portal.


    • Work closely with customers across various segments (public health, physicians, laboratories and patients) and internal and external thought leaders to identify opportunities for leveraging data to solve customer problems and increase the value of our tests 
    • Develop new data offering concepts that differentiate OI and its product offering by working closely with key functions, including Operations, R&D, U.S. Marketing, Marketing Communications, Medical Affairs, Sales, Legal and Regulatory
    • Conduct market research to test data services concepts and uncover unmet customer needs and opportunities
    • Initiate and lead strategic partnerships with external providers of software, applications, data and other services that would enhance the data services ‘product’ offering
    • Pilot data offerings to fine-tune customer deliverables, develop operationally efficient processes and define positioning and messaging
    • Launch data services offerings by working closely with U.S. Marketing, Marketing Communications, International Regional Marketing, Operations, Legal and Regulatory to develop online and offline collateral, sales tools, iPad applications, and digital marketing/social media 
    • Manage and evolve the OI customer portal to maximize use of test requisitions, data collection and delivery of data offerings 
    • Provide support and training to field sales and support engagement of critical accounts
    • Determine infrastructure requirements to support data service offerings
    • Build business case for additional investment in data services capabilities 


    • BS/BA, MBA strongly preferred
    • 2-3 years commercial experience with software as a service, data analytics, online customer-facing applications and/or data driven products required.
    • 5-7 years marketing experience in life sciences, medical devices, diagnostics and/or laboratory services preferred.
    • Ability to analyze complex information (e.g. clinical, operational, technical, software applications, etc.) and translate it into commercially viable data services ‘products’.
    • Experience with CRM systems such as salesforce.com and data analytics tools such as Tableau preferred.
    • Strong cross functional project management skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team 
    • Strong written and oral communication skills 
    • Ability to travel including international up to 30% of the time
