Overview

This is an expansion position, to help accelerate growth in the tick-borne disease franchise which was launched in 2017 after the acquisitions of Imugen and Immunetics. Imugen products include proprietary laboratory tests for Lyme and other tick-borne diseases.

 

The Associate Product Manager will play a key role in leading cross functional teams for integration activities, increasing sales for the tick-borne disease product lines, leading service enhancement initiatives to improve customer experiences and provide field sales support for tick-borne diseases.

Responsibilities

  • Support service laboratories and product brands 
    • Commercial lead for logistics and operational activities, including leading cross-functional projects with lab operations, strategic sourcing, and R&D teams to enhance product platform and customer experience 
    • Work collaboratively with cross-functional team to ensure complete product and service offering meets customer needs
    • Drive development of innovative, unique offerings to increase customer satisfaction and revenue
    • Act as voice of the customer on internal integration teams
    • Resource to internal and external customers
    • Provide business analysis and market needs based on sales and industry data
    • Manage vendor partnerships 
  • Support product marketing initiatives that drive growth
    • Evaluate the 2017 Imugen launch and make recommendations to senior leadership on adjustments for 2018 and 2019
    • Support the development and launch of new product offerings 
    • Support product positioning and messaging development
    • Develop segment specific collateral and support pieces
  • Provide support to field sales 
    • Conceptualize and develop effective tools to aid in buying process 
    • Review and analyze product enhancements that might assist with the buying process 
    • Review publications and train field sales on appropriate positioning and messaging
  • Follows all company safety policies & other safety precautions within work area

Qualifications

  • BS/BA, MBA strongly preferred
  • 3-5 years relevant experience including at least 1-2 years product marketing with diagnostics and/or laboratory services preferred; medical device or equivalent experience may be considered
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Track-record of leading without authority
  • Ability to work cross-functionally as well as independently
  • Strong analytic and data analysis skills, experience with CRM systems such as salesforce.com preferred
  • Sales or customer facing experience with large hospital institutions and/or diagnostic testing a plus 
  • Technical and/or clinical expertise in order to understand and effectively communicate the benefits of proprietary technology
  • Ability to take complex information (e.g. clinical papers, package inserts, etc.) and translate into training material and collateral 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills 
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of time
