  • Overview


    This position fills a key role in the function of Medical Affairs and supports the internal and external needs of our global Company for medical information. A major responsibility includes analyzing internal company data and writing of documents for submission to journals and conferences. In addition, responsibilities include; developing and managing publication plans for internal and external studies; monitoring medical literature and practice guidelines for information of relevance to the company and its commercial product(s); monitoring relevant competitor data; analyzing and synthesizing medical and scientific information for Medical Affairs and Marketing; providing regular written summaries to the Manager of Medical Affairs and Director of Medical and Scientific Affairs for distribution to other relevant company functions; and coordinating efforts with corresponding Company personnel in other regions.


    • Extract, analyze and generate publications/presentations on company data for journal and conference submissions
    • Assist in the generation and execution of Company publication strategies in conjunction with other members of Medical Affairs and Clinical Affairs team
    • Coordinate and assist external groups on publications/presentations of data from company sponsored studies
    • Review and circulate study proposals to internal review committee
    • Act as publications sentinel, identifying publications and new data and support publication review of Manager, Medical Science
    • Generate monthly synopsis reports of new publications that are noteworthy and could impact the business
    • Maintain Zotero reference management database and provide training for internal end users
    • Maintain internal meta-analysis on relevant studies
    • Attend appropriate international, national or regional medical conferences as needed to learn and evaluate new scientific, product or competitive information, and to respond to inquiries from HCPs and scientific thought leaders
    • Develop working relationships with scientific thought leaders from academic, commercial and health governing institutions
    • Review of promotional materials to ensure medical and technical information is scientifically relevant and accurate and claims are adequately supported by credible and relevant data


    • PhD in Life Sciences, MS with experience is acceptable
    • Experience in managing and evaluating large data sets
    • Demonstrated knowledge of statistical approaches for data analysis
    • Experience in medical devices and/or diagnostics, medical affairs, and clinical research experience preferred
    • Demonstrated project management skills
    • Expertise in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
    • Excellent verbal and written English communication and presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with sales and health care professionals
    • Must be able to travel approximately 20%, some international travel
