    This newly created position within the US commercial team will be responsible for the development and execution of the company’s data products strategy.  Oxford Immunotec has one of the largest databases of TB and tick-borne disease diagnostic test results.  The company is investing in turning this data into products that help customers make better decisions about patient testing and treatment. 

     

    The Sr. Product Manager will be responsible for identifying new applications that leverage internal and/or external data and incorporating them into our test offerings.  He/she will develop and execute data products and initiatives to meet the needs of key stakeholders, such as customers, public health, industry associations, and patient advocacy groups. 

     

    In addition, the Sr. Product Manager will lead the design and implementation of data product prototypes to get customer feedback and drive go/no-go commercial decisions.  He/she will work closely with Strategic Marketing, R&D and Medical Affairs to leverage our unique data assets to generate insights and products that provide additional value for our customers.

    Responsibilities

    • Create commercial data strategy and multi-year product roadmap.
    • Lead cross-functional teams to develop and commercialize new data products, including Operations, R&D, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Sales, Legal and Regulatory.
    • Synthesize input from KOLs and internal experts to identify and prioritize opportunities to leverage data to solve customer problems and increase the value of our tests.
    • Conduct market research to test data services concepts and uncover unmet customer needs and opportunities
    • Design and implement data product prototypes to obtain customer feedback and refine product requirements, positioning and messaging.
    • Lead product launch efforts to successfully commercialize data products.
    • Initiate and lead strategic partnerships with external providers of software, applications, data and other services that enhance the data services ‘product’ offering.
    • Lead customer-focused design and implementation of the customer portal for test ordering and data product delivery.
    • Train and support the field sales team on how to use data products with current and prospective customers.
    • Work closely with IT to develop data architecture to support the implementation of data products.

    Qualifications

    • BA, BS (or equivalent), preferably in marketing, business or computer science.
    • MBA strongly preferred.
    • 7-10 years marketing and/or IT project management experience with software as a service, data analytics, online customer-facing applications and/or data driven products required.
    • Experience in life sciences, medical devices, diagnostics and/or laboratory services preferred.
    • Strong cross functional project management skills and experience leading technical projects are essential.
    • Ability to analyze complex technical and clinical information and translate it into commercially viable data ‘products’.
    • Experience in product or technical development of interactive analysis products or data visualization tools, such as dashboards strongly preferred.
    • Experience with LIS, CRM and data analytics tools strongly preferred.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills. 
    • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
