  • Overview

    The Marketing Communications Specialist will be responsible for supporting a range of projects that include integrated tactical marketing efforts as well as assist in the coordination of US trade shows to support the product marketing and sales teams.  This position requires exceptional planning, project and program management skills, as well as proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.

    Responsibilities

    • Execute the development of marketing collateral including brochures, data sheets, case studies, web content, and digital marketing
    • Support collateral development either by creating graphics or partnering with external graphic designers
    • Assist with the execution and optimization of the marketing materials review process in order to achieve continuous improvement
    • Maintain company website to ensure all content is consistent and accurate and execute on any changes to the website
    • Assist in the planning of and manage the tactical execution of projects to support the promotion and commercialization of solutions nationally
    • Set-up and manage inventory of promotional materials to ensure appropriate levels of access are set and compliance needs are met by facilitating a monthly annual review process of all materials
    • Track and report key metrics and other reports as requested
    • Coordinate the planning of US marketing events programs
    • Monitor the Oxford Immunotec brand on our websites and printed material and ensure consistency of usage globally
    • Collaborate and proactively engage with members of the MarComm team located in the UK office, as well as cross-functional teams across Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs and Clinical to coordinate, communicate and optimize programs to execute messaging and positioning aligned with business requirements and Oxford Immunotec brand.
    • Supports department for finances, including: purchase orders, coordination with accounts payable for department invoices, documenting corporate credit card expenses to corporate finance.
    • Select & oversee vendors and contractors, as needed.
    • Regular attendance and timeliness is essential

    Qualifications

    • BA, BS, BSc (or equivalent), preferably in business, marketing or the natural sciences
    • 2 – 4 years of experience in marketing communications, trade show planning, branding, integrated campaign development, digital content development
    • Prefer knowledge in the industry of medical diagnostics, laboratory services, pharmaceutical, medical device, academic research, clinical research or other similar field
    • Communications expertise with emphasis on integrated content development
    • Experience planning and managing trade shows, communication projects, vendors/contractors
    • Track record of delivering measurable, successful multi-channel campaigns.
    • Demonstrates the ability to prioritize and multitask to enhance productivity and manage workload in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
    • Works with a sense of urgency, efficiency, and attention to detail
    • Strong verbal and written analytical/problem solving, communication, negotiation, interpersonal and presentation skills essential
    • Comprehensive skills in computer and proficiency in Creative Suite, Salesforce, Website CMS (WordPress), marketing automation platforms such as Pardot and Wistia.
    • Ability to travel 10-15% of time
