  • Overview

    The Marketing Director, TB is a key leader within the US commercial organization.  He/she is responsible for leading US marketing for Oxford Immunotec’s tuberculosis (TB) products and services.  The US TB business is currently the largest contributor to Oxford’s global revenue and the company is continuing to invest to drive additional growth.   

    This position is responsible for leading the development and execution of the US TB marketing plan.  He/she will lead and coach a high performance marketing team to deliver key commercial goals including revenue and profitability.

    In addition, the Marketing Director will lead new product launches and develop and launch new test services programs.  He/she will work closely with Strategic Marketing, Marketing Communications, Medical Affairs, Laboratory Operations, Finance and Customer Excellence teams to drive growth in the US TB business.


    • Lead the development of the US TB marketing strategy and deliver on tactical execution of the plan.
    • Recruit, coach and develop a high performing marketing team.
    • Drive key downstream marketing activities, including market research, market segmentations, product positioning, messaging, targeting, and development of sales tools and collateral.
    • Lead new product launches, including working with KOLs, commercial payers, and the US sales team.
    • Develop customer segment and key stakeholder specific sales tools to help overcome customer challenges including budget, clinical differentiation, and operational implementation.
    • Provide direction for US TB marketing communications strategy including web/digital, social media, lead generation/lead nurturing, collateral, events/meetings, and PR.
    • Lead cross-functional initiatives with key departments including Medical Affairs, Commercial IT, and Laboratory Operations.
    • Partner with sales leadership develop US TB commercial priorities and execution plans.
    • Drive the development of segment-specific marketing programs to increase revenue.
    • Develop and execute pricing strategies for both customers and commercial payers.
    • Build sustainable, repeatable processes that allow the US TB business to scale.


    • BS/BA (or equivalent) required. MBA strongly preferred. 
    • 10 plus years’ marketing experience in diagnostics or medical devices.
    • 4-5 years of people management experience.
    • Demonstrated ability to implement programs that lead to revenue growth.
    • Demonstrated ability to recruit and development high performance marketing team members.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic plans and deliver on tactical execution.
    • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to balance data and customer/KOL input.
    • Strong cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to gain alignment and lead without authority.
    • Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement training a plus.
    • Experience with both FDA approved and laboratory developed tests a plus.
    • Ability to travel up 40%.
