Overview

 

Location: Field-based within Germany with excellent English

 

This position is for an experienced business manager with 10+ years track record of sales & marketing experience in healthcare, preferably in diagnostics. They must have experience of having full accountability for a P&L of a business. The role will be to develop and manage all commercial activity across the DACH region which includes Germany, Austria & Switzerland.

Responsibilities

• To define and execute go-to-market strategies in each territory
• To define and implement sales effectiveness strategies and provide coaching when necessary
• To work with Medical Affairs to develop and maintain high level relationships with KOLs
• To meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets
• To set and monitor pricing policy across the portfolio
• To be responsible for tracking and maintaining expenditure within budget
• To forecast revenues for each territory and track revenue performance against forecast
• To manage distribution channels and implement distributor operating model
• To be an active contributing member of the regional management team and take the role of team member or project owner for regional strategic initiatives as and when required


• To provide management reports as per requirement, these may include; revenue, market data, sales funnel, sales performance, issues and support requirements
• To become a product expert both in the technical attributes of the product, but also in the most successful sales processes/tactics
• To proactively maintain product and technical knowledge to expected standards
• To attend regional, national or international conferences representing the Company and its products. These may require national or international travel and/or working on weekends.


• To assist finance in gaining timely payment of invoices, resolving customer issues and any other financial matters.
• To display a positive attitude towards feedback and self-improvement, and to demonstrate ability to learn new competencies and ways of working.

This position may require up to 50% national and international travel to customers, distributors, Company or scientific meetings.

Qualifications

Technical skills and abilities
• Scientific or biomedical degree or similar educational qualification preferred
• Post graduate degree in marketing or business (MSc/MBA)
• Proven record of success in growing and developing markets and customer accounts
• Can demonstrate an ability to interpret and sell with clinical data / publications
• Knowledge of product registration, reimbursement and other relevant regulatory systems
• Strong presentation skills
• Time management and prioritisation
• Demonstrated success leading a team
• Excellent communication skills – ideally multilingual to include English with either French, Spanish or Italian
