Overview

This position is a key member of Oxford Immunotec’s (OI) US Commercial team and will serve as the company’s product expert for the T-SPOT.TB test. This will include managing the product line, leading marketing and education initiatives, providing support for the field sales team and driving demand through our channel partners. The ideal candidate will have a track record of building product launch plans, gaining voice of customer feedback, creating clinical messaging, building revenue plans and adapting marketing plans to rapidly changing market and competitor dynamics.

Responsibilities

Specific deliverables for the role include, but not limited to:

  • Execute ongoing marketing plan for the T-SPOT.TB test product line to drive significant revenue growth and win competitive market share
    • Serve as the company’s product expert for the T-SPOT.TB test, competing technologies and the tuberculosis market
    • Build fiscal year and long term marketing plans that are aligned to the commercial revenue plan
    • Lead the development and execution of marketing plans and product messaging, which can be leveraged across multiple platforms. This may include but not limited to digital marketing platforms, trade shows and sales collateral
    • Monitor market intelligence through customer visits, market research and voice of customer to help refine marketing plans
    • Create, lead and execute product launch plans
    • Distill customer requests into actionable and appropriate solutions
    • Collaborate with marketing communications, medical affairs, strategic marketing, compliance, legal and sales leadership to develop and deliver timely customer facing materials
  • Lead marketing efforts that enable US channel partners to grow T-SPOT.TB volumes through their customer base
    • Develop and execute marketing messages and product positioning for multiple customer segments and marketing platforms
    • Lead initiatives with our channel partners to ensure our digital, traditional and sales messages are aligned. This may include collaborating with local territory sales representatives and technical services to best engage the customer
  • Lead sales training content development and delivery for the T-SPOT.TB test and competitive products
    • Create internal and external product training tools
    • Deliver training to field sales and channel partners
    • Develop content for live and on-demand webinars
    • Review publications and train field sales on appropriate positioning and messaging

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Life Sciences, Business or Marketing required. MBA preferred
  • 7-10 years’ experience, including product marketing experience with medical, diagnostics and/or laboratory services
  • Direct people management experience is highly desired
  • Customer-facing experience with hospital or commercial laboratories is highly preferred

Competencies

  • Strong analytic and project management skills
  • Ability to create compelling PowerPoint presentations for internal and external presentations
  • Strong knowledge with Excel is required
  • Ability to work independently and on a team
  • An entrepreneurial mindset
  • Success in this role requires attention to detail, proven analytical skills, and an ability to master complex scientific material and convey these concepts to others in a compelling, understandable manner
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills required
  • Regular attendance and timeliness is essential
  • Follows all company safety policies & other safety precautions within work area
  • Ability to travel 20 – 30% of the time (mainly domestic; some international)
