The Global Product Manager – Lab Automation is responsible for the Automation portfolio designed to support the T-SPOT range of products.  They will be responsible for developing and executing a customer centric portfolio growth strategy.  They will be responsible for product life cycle management and provide support for regional sales and marketing initiatives to drive global growth in market share. 


Our aim at Oxford Immunotec is to automate all customer within the next 5 years. This role is critical for developing the roadmap to ensure we have solutions that meet the efficiency requirements of all of our target customer groups. And to drive the commercialisation process in each sales region.


We are accepting applications for both Europe and the US for this position. Reporting into the Global Head of Product & Portfolio Management. 


  • Develop and execute a customer centric product line roadmap for Automation.
  • Deliver VOC and VOS to inform product requirements and commercialization plans.
  • Develop strong relationships with industry experts, customers and business partners.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and market research to drive product strategy.
  • Provide commercial leadership to the new product development process for any automation projects, representing a consolidated global viewpoint.
  • Act as a consultant and product expert to sales and regional downstream marketing
  • Support the development of regional and national go-to-market strategies to maximize revenue potential.
  • Lead global product launch programs for any new automation product or solution component.
  • Define 5 year revenue plans and provide quantitative and qualitative reporting of sales performance against plan.
  • Consolidate regional annual revenue and margin plans for the automation product line to support the strategic planning process.
  • Clearly articulating the company’s strategy, and product value proposition in presentations to both internal and external constituents
  • Collaborate with key stakeholder (Med Affairs, Global Technical Service, R&D, Finance, Legal, Quality & Regulatory) on development projects, marketing plans and sales opportunities.
  • Align plans with other global product manager to ensure consistent messaging to the regional commercial teams, customers and business partners.
  • Attending regional, national or international conferences representing the Company and its products. These may require national or international travel and/or working on weekends.
  • Displaying a positive attitude towards feedback and self-improvement and demonstrating an ability to learn new competencies and ways of working.


  • Relevant degree and >10 years IVD industry experience in sales & marketing
  • Product development & product line management of instruments and software
  • Experience in business case development driven by market and customer analysis
  • Global product launch experience, including ability to learn and adapt sales messaging to market dynamics.
  • Proven ability to have high level engagements with business partners and suppliers
  • Demonstrated success in developing go-to-market strategies
  • Experience in nurturing key opinion leaders to become product advocates.
