Overview

The Senior Project Manager will be part of the PMO and be responsible for supporting program management activities across the Company. This will include delivery of new product development projects for IVD products for infectious disease, automation products to automate clinical testing and corporate projects where appropriate.

 

It is the responsibility of the Senior Project Manager to be the overall project lead from start to end including planning, execution and delivery while managing stakeholders, budgets, timelines and delivering regulatory approvals in compliance with our Quality Management System.

 

Responsibilities

  1. Working with the Head of Program Management to ensure that projects are resourced appropriately and work is conducted in support of the agreed Company strategy.
  2. Responsibility for organising and supporting cross-functional teams to build the infrastructure for each project (in collaboration with functional managers) and support/lead the teams to successfully deliver.
  3. Working closely with project teams to ensure active communication within and between projects and managing key stakeholders across the Company.
  4. The key aspects of the role include:
    1. Project management of new product development projects and other Company initiatives to deliver projects on time and budget.
    2. Working to an agreed project management process under the QMS.
    3. Facilitation of After Action Reviews and application of learnings to improve processes and project delivery.
    4. Project management support for US/OUS groups e.g. corporate, commercial and operational projects, as required.
  5. Working to Oxford Immunotec Company Values at all times.

Qualifications

 

Technical Skills and abilities

  • Must have proficiency in a wide range of project management skills including maintenance of complex schedules and timelines, cross-functional team leadership, risk mitigation, customer communication, etc.
  • Must have a Life Science or Engineering background, to at least degree level.
  • 7 years or more experience of working within matrix management of complex projects.
  • Experience of successfully delivering operational initiatives.
  • Familiar with key project management techniques.
  • Previous experience in a project management role from a Medical Devices, IVD, Pharma or Biotech background an advantage.

  • Excellent organisation and communication skills, including previous experience of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must have a ‘can-do’ attitude and a strong desire to take ownership.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple timelines, while maintaining the team focus.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
